This is where Jo got involved in the pro-life movement before Roe as a member of MCCL and she has been involved ever since. Jo worked with two women that had received help from the Aurora Resource Center, and she has a niece that worked at the center in the past. Jo knew she wanted to be part of this organization because of what they said about their experience. Jo is impressed with the focus of the center being on both the woman and her baby. Also, the practical support the clients receive with no judgments made . Jo believes in the importance of the center and strives to help keep it a viable resource for women and children in the area. She was thrilled after she applied to become a member of the board and was invited to be a member. Jo believes the best part about working for a pro-life organization is the focus it has on saving lives. Jo States, "It is important to us as a pro-life organization that we are there to support the mom, her baby, and also any other member of the family. I believe we offer a total life service for all members of a family and that we recognize the need as a pro-life organization to help the family, however the makeup, with a positive start in life."
